Google is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to join its Google Distributed Cloud Hosted team, which develops secure and scalable distributed cloud platforms with high performance capabilities. The role requires the engineer to design and build infrastructure solutions which allow organizations to run cloud workloads on their own premises while staying in compliance with Google Cloud services through air-gapped environments. The engineer will work on designing large systems and building cloud security frameworks while developing advanced AI operational technologies which will provide enterprise solutions for international clients.

Main Duties:

• Scalability requirements for Google Distributed Cloud Airgapped environments and business-critical workloads. 
• Distributed systems and improves existing systems to achieve maximum system uptime and better system performance and enhanced system protection.
• Together with different departments and product managers and outside vendors to deliver solutions on time. 
• The security architecture development process requires me to create and execute threat detection systems and vulnerability management systems and necessary remediation plans. 
• The team develops Agentic AI solutions which perform automated fault detection and system optimization through their implementation.

Essential Qualifications:

• Eight years of software development experience together with expertise in system design. 
• Experience in developing large-scale infrastructure systems and distributed systems and cloud-based platforms. 
• Practical knowledge of Kubernetes and public cloud environments together with cloud security procedures. 
• Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain backend systems. 
• The capability to design distributed systems for operation in Google Cloud Platform environments.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience building extensive platforms while possessing complete knowledge of cloud-based system designs. 
• Experience through participating in open-source projects or working together with open-source development communities. 
• Complete knowledge of both public and private cloud systems together with their hybrid deployment capabilities. 
• Possesses the capability to resolve intricate technical problems while effectively deciding between architectural options. 
• Leadership capabilities which enable him to guide technical decisions that affect multiple teams.
