An opening has been announced at Apple as Software Engineer for its Data & AI team located in Bengaluru and Hyderabad. This job’s responsibilities are to work in data pipelines, GenAI, AI agents, and analytics solutions in the enterprise domains. The other responsibilities consists of working with multidisciplinary teams, addressing difficult business problems, providing production-ready solutions, and ensuring good governance, reliability, and observability in large technology infrastructures.

Responsibilities
- Translate your business needs into data and AI solutions that can be scaled up.
- Develop real-time, near real-time, and batch data pipelines at scale.
- Build GenAI apps, AI agents, RAG workflows, and data solutions.
- Work together with technical, business, and cross-functional teams for enterprise-wide projects.
- Provide production-quality solutions while ensuring governance, reliability, and observability.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience with 4+ years in data engineering and applied AI/ML engineering.
- Excellent programming expertise in Python along with advanced SQL and knowledge of Scala/Java.
- Experience in building scalable data pipelines using latest data warehousing or lakehouse solutions.
- Hands-on experience in building GenAI use cases, RAG pipelines, embeddings, vector databases, and semantic search.
- Experience developing AI agents or agentic workflows using LangChain, LlamaIndex, or similar frameworks.
Preferred Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with developing multi-agents and workflows in agentic systems using data pipelines.
- It is desirable to have experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure and with PyTorch or TensorFlow.
- Experience with developing applications with the help of React, Streamlit, FastAPI, or any other full-stack frameworks.
- Hands-on experience with developing AI, ML, and GenAI proof of concepts for enterprise-scale problems.
- Proficiency in technical architecture and cross-functionality.
