Job Description

Cisco is hiring a Software Engineer to build scalable web applications using React and JavaScript. The responsibilities of this position include API integration together with MongoDB and Oracle database management and software testing and CI/CD implementation. The team will work together with multiple departments while providing guidance to junior developers and developing innovative enterprise solutions that use data analytics in a fast-paced work environment.

Main Duties

  • Develop and maintain scalable front-end applications using React and modern JavaScript frameworks.
  • Collaborate with backend teams to integrate APIs and manage databases like MongoDB and Oracle.
  • Perform unit testing, debugging, and ensure high-quality application performance.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical design and documentation.
  • Mentor junior developers and support cross-team collaboration and innovation initiatives.

Essential Qualifications

  • Demonstrates advanced proficiency in JavaScript and React for developing front-end applications.
  • Possesses experience with databases which include MongoDB and Oracle and Snowflake serves as an additional advantage.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of unit testing and integration testing as well as debugging methods.
  • Understanding of both Agile and Waterfall software development methodologies.
  • Bachelor’s degree for a minimum of 10 years or a master’s degree for at least 5 years of professional experience. 

Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and some tools which include Jenkins and Jira and Git. 
  • Expertise in using Elastic Search, Apache Solr, Kafka and FastAPI frameworks. 
  • Worked with cloud infrastructure tools which help create scalable deployment systems. 
  • Possesses excellent program management abilities and he can successfully work with different teams. 
  • Worked on data governance projects which include compliance activities and proof-of-concept work.
