Job Description

Cisco needs an SDWAN Security and Data Plane development Software Engineer who will create advanced secure networking technologies for their upcoming projects. The position requires development work on cutting-edge SDWAN security features which will improve both infrastructure and data plane performance while using AI/ML techniques to boost system protection and operational efficiency. The engineer will work with different teams to develop secure scalable networking solutions which meet enterprise requirements.

Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

Main Duties:

  • Design and develop secure SDWAN features focusing on data plane performance and network security.
  • Implement AI-powered tools for code generation, automated testing, and development optimization.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build scalable and secure enterprise networking solutions.
  • Develop and optimize networking components with emphasis on performance, security, and reliability.
  • Ensure secure coding practices, compliance with security standards, and efficient CI/CD processes.

Essential Qualifications:

  • One to three years of software development experience specifically in networking or embedded systems development. 
  • Demonstrates advanced C programming skills together with knowledge of C++ and Python scripting. 
  • Possesses expertise in Linux operating system together with kernel development and system programming skills. 
  • Experience using AI tools with automation platforms and software development pipelines. 
  • Demonstrates strong problem-solving abilities which enable him to work both independently and in team settings.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience using artificial intelligence and machine learning methods to develop products that operate in networking and security domains. 
  • Possesses knowledge about encryption standards and security frameworks and enterprise networking practices.
  • Understands data plane security through their understanding of NAT security implementations. 
  • Experience working with embedded systems and their custom kernel environment POKY.
  • Assess AI tools and implement them to enhance development processes in their work.
