Job Description

HCLTech is hiring an Oracle Database Administrator Track Lead – Linux in Bengaluru, Karnataka. The position involves leading Linux, Oracle PL/SQL, and Oracle DBA teams while overseeing daily operations. Responsibilities include database performance optimization, security, upgrades, troubleshooting, audits, backup and recovery. Strong Linux administration, Oracle PL/SQL expertise, problem-solving abilities, communication skills, and technical leadership experience are required.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Linux, Oracle PL/SQL, and Oracle DBA groups in all aspects of their work.
  • Optimize Linux system performance and solve issues relating to its efficiency.
  • Write efficient PL/SQL code to improve the performance of the database.
  • Configure, install, upgrade and secure the Oracle Database environment.
  • Perform system audits and work with IT teams to comply with security requirements.

Requirements

  • Proficient in performing work related to Linux system administration such as installation, troubleshooting and maintenance.
  • Capable of designing complicated queries, procedures and functions using Oracle PL/SQL.
  • Knowledge of Oracle DBA work which involves installation, configuration, backup and recovering.
  • Problem-solving skills together with proper problem management under stressful circumstances.
  • Good communication and leadership skills for guiding technical people.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certification in Linux administration is an extra advantage.
  • PL/SQL certification from Oracle is recommended for increasing technical skills.
  • The Oracle DBA certification is helpful for dealing with databases of organizations.
  • Leadership skills in managing teams for Linux and database administration are also important.
  • Security standards knowledge and system auditing knowledge are preferred.
