Job Description

Accenture is hiring a functional test engineer for its packaged application development team in Kochi. The role focuses on manual testing of web/mobile applications, finding out defects, testing within the Agile sprints and software quality verification. The person will work closely with the developers and the product owners, perform functional/regression testing, assist in the releases of software products, record the testing results and help improve testing efficiency through an effective Agile development process.

Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree/Master’s Degree (Preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Analysis of requirements and acceptance criteria to develop effective and efficient testing methodologies.
  • Testing design, documentation, and execution for web and mobile applications.
  • Effective conduct of UI, functional, regression, and smoke testing through the Agile software development lifecycle.
  • Log defects, track issues, and verify fixes for accurate and timely resolution processes.
  • Agile sprints, releases, documentation, and continuous improvement of testing processes.

Requirements

  • Experience of 1.5 to 3 years of hands-on experience in manual testing of software.
  • Has knowledge about Agile methodology, which could be Scrum or Kanban, including sprint meetings and points.
  • Should possess excellent knowledge about the software managing life cycle and testing process.
  • Create test cases and bug reports with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Must have excellent attention to detail, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with test management software like Jira, XRay, or TestLink is very valuable.
  • Knowledge about automated testing tools like Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright will definitely stand out from the rest.
  • Experience in conducting API testing will definitely give an extra advantage as a candidate.
  • Experience or knowledge in the field of e-commerce is desired in this role.
  • Have graduated from college/university with eagerness to gain more experience in software testing.
