Job Description

JPMorgan Chase is hiring an Applied AI/ML Lead for their Asset & Wealth Management department to create and implement sophisticated AI/ML systems. The position requires working with stakeholders to resolve complicated business challenges while creating scalable solutions through data science and machine learning development. 

The candidates will develop complete solutions which include data analysis and modeling and production deployment while they assist with team member development and process improvement.

Qualification: Advanced Degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field

Experience: 5+ years in AI/ML, data science, or software engineering

Main Duties

  • AI and ML models to address difficult business problems in the financial services industry.
  • Stakeholders collect their needs which they then convert into solutions based on data analysis.
  • Researches and builds complete machine learning systems which they use to create operational solutions.
  • Perform data wrangling, feature engineering, and model evaluation for high-quality outputs.
  • Mentor team members and contribute to research and innovation in AI technologies.

Essential Qualifications

  • Extensive expertise in machine learning which includes both supervised learning and unsupervised learning methods. 
  • Demonstrates advanced Python programming skills together with expertise in using TensorFlow and PyTorch and Scikit-learn development frameworks. 
  • Practical skills in natural language processing through their work on developing real-world NLP applications. 
  • Demonstrates proficiency in big data technologies through their ability to use Spark and Hive and SQL-based data systems. 
  • Advanced degree in analytical fields and possesses practical experience in developing AI and machine learning solutions.

Preferred Skills

  • Professional experience with large language models which they used to address business and financial challenges. 
  • Experience in both financial services and asset management or wealth management fields. 
  • Possesses a research-oriented mindset which enables them to create and deploy AI solutions that can be used in various applications. 
  •  PhD degree in either Data Science or Computer Science or a related analytical field. 
  • Together with different teams to successfully lead projects that use artificial intelligence for organizational transformation.
