Job Description

AMD is hiring a system testing and automation engineer in Bangalore to strengthen system testing for network infrastructure accelerators. The role focuses on developing automated test scripts, creating comprehensive test plans, troubleshooting complex issues, validating fixes, and solving customer-reported problems. The position requires strong networking, Python automation, Linux, performance testing, and software engineering expertise, along with effective collaboration across technical teams.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in system testing on a daily basis in an Agile engineering environment.
  • Create test plans that will include all functional and performance scenarios for proper execution.
  • Write robust automation scripts to facilitate software testing and validations.
  • Analyzing test failures and reproducing customer issues through cooperation with peer group members.
  • Problem-solving of technical issues and keeping abreast of networking, acceleration, software, and hardware technologies.

Requirements

  • More than 5 years of experience in the field of networking test automation.
  • Proficiency in programming languages like Python for developing automation scripts.
  • Awareness of different types of testing/performance software such as Ixia.
  • Knowledgeable about routing, switching, microsegmentation, VXLAN and other networking technologies.
  • Good troubleshooting, communication and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in cloud, security and data centre technologies to enable enterprise infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with RDMA technologies and network performance measurement techniques.
  • Knowledge in AI technology such as GPU, Slurm, ROCm and different AI workloads.
  • Operating systems knowledge and device driver programming.
  • Linux, VMware ESX, Windows Server, GitHub, debugging and profiling tools knowledge.
