Job Description

Deloitte is recruiting for a Senior Consultant – Business Analyst at Mumbai for people who have experience in capital markets and business analysis. This job involves capturing and recording business requirements from the front office and doing activities related to project delivery. These activities might include vendor solution evaluation, working with the technical team, and integrating the core banking system. The candidate needs to prepare test cases and do user acceptance testing activities along with document management.

Experience: 5–8 years 

Qualification: B.Tech, MBA, BE, MCA, or a relevant equivalent qualification.

Responsibilities

  • Collect, document, and validate the business requirements of the relationship managers and front office people for proper project planning and solution designing.
  • Perform analysis on vendor offerings and provide objective recommendations for decision-making related to ‘build or buy’ considering functional requirements and business needs.
  • Collaborate with technical groups to facilitate smooth integration of relationship manager workstations, Core Banking software, and other business applications.
  • Develop functional test scenarios and arrange user acceptance testing activities to ensure that delivered solutions are per requirements.
  • Develop and provide status updates for the benefit of all stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Educational qualification should be a B.Tech, MBA, BE, MCA, or equivalent degree in the related field.
  • 5-8 years of experience working as a business analyst, preferably in capital market projects, which involve risk, capital, or liquidity.
  • Experience in the preparation of business requirement documents, functional specifications, and other project documentation.
  • Good knowledge about Microsoft Office applications like Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio is essential for documentation and analysis purposes.
  • Knowledge of Power BI, Alteryx, JIRA, Confluence, and Microsoft Project would be an added advantage.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Power BI, Alteryx, and other similar software tools with regard to transformation of data and visualization of the dashboard would be beneficial for analytics and reporting.
  • Knowledge of Jira, Confluence, and Microsoft Project would be useful for workflow and documentation management.
  • Experience in preparing committee packs, progress reports, and project updates would be beneficial while communicating with senior management.
  • Work experience in risk, capital, and liquidity projects in financial services would be beneficial with respect to domain knowledge.
