Job Description

Infosys Limited is hiring an Engineering Manager in Pune, Maharashtra, to lead data engineering projects and manage engineering teams. The role involves mentoring professionals, coordinating with global stakeholders, and ensuring high-quality project delivery. The selected candidate will drive agile practices, oversee resource allocation, and support cloud implementation across AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform while fostering collaboration and continuous improvement. 

Qualification: Bachelor of Engineering

Responsibilities

  • Control the implementation of the data engineering projects on time and according to the quality standards.
  • Hire, train and manage the data engineers along with helping with the performance and career evaluation of them.
  • Communicate with the engineering managers, solution architects, product managers, and product owners worldwide.
  • Promote the best engineering practices and agile methodology among the team members.
  • Ensure that the capacity management and maintenance of the team members are taken care of.

Requirements

  • Very well honed skills in personnel management including motivating, coaching, and advising engineers.
  • Professional experience of five or more years in delivering data engineering or cloud engineering services.
  • Professional experience in developing highly complex cloud-based solutions in any of the following platforms; AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Strong communication skills in explaining technical concepts to non-technical people.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in conflict resolution within the team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge in relation to Databricks and other cloud data platform technology.
  • Knowledge of data engineering, data stack, data modeling, and architecture.
  • Agile project management methodology knowledge in an engineering environment.
  • Proper management of resources in engineering projects and maintenance tasks.
  • Good collaborative, emotional, and customer-oriented skills to work with international teams.
