Job Description

Wipro is hiring a CTO Blockchain Architect in Bengaluru to lead the architecture, development, and evolution of enterprise blockchain platforms. The role focuses on Cosmos SDK, Go, Rust, CometBFT, ABCI++, IBC, smart contracts, scalability, security, and distributed systems. The position will guide engineering teams, drive blockchain roadmaps, ensure high availability, and deliver secure, scalable solutions.

Qualification: Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree

Experience: 12+ years of IT experience with 5+ years of blockchain experience

Responsibilities 

  • Provide technical vision for blockchain platforms into the future and ensure that solutions meet business and regulatory standards. 
  • Develop and manage important blockchain technologies like Go, Cosmos SDK, ABCI++ and Smart Contracts.
  • Manage the operation of the blockchain network in conjunction with network configuration, validation and consensus.
  • Maintain technical documentation and ensure adherence to development standards. 
  • Supervising the engineering team through architecture decisions, code review, testing, debugging, mentoring.

Requirements  

  • More than 12 years in IT, of which more than 5 years in blockchain development.
  • Expert in Go language and skilled in Rust language for backend development and distributed systems.
  • Skilled in developing and maintaining custom modules for Cosmos SDK and Cosmos blockchains.
  • CometBFT, ABCI/ABCI++, Consensus, and IBC Inter-Blockchain Communication knowledge.
  • Experience in test development, design, and maintenance for unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Proficiency in Go at an expert level capable of creating high-performance blockchain and distributed systems solutions.
  • Enterprise-scale banking application experience, especially in financial services built on blockchain technology.
  • FinTech experience, including cross-border payments, cryptocurrency services, and digital wallets.
  • GCP or equivalent cloud experience to adopt and deploy blockchain applications.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, negotiation, collaboration, mentoring, and IT governance, risk, compliance, and information security experience.
