Job Description

Cisco needs an Intersight Site Reliability Engineer to develop and manage the reliability and scalability and security of its cloud-based SaaS platforms. The position requires engineers to create dependable systems through designing resilient infrastructure and developing automated solutions and working together with different departments to achieve system uptime across multiple regions. Main Duties

  • Design, build, and optimize cloud infrastructure ensuring availability, scalability, and reliability using SRE best practices.
  • Collaborate with development, product, and security teams to implement secure and efficient automation-driven solutions.
  • Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and improve system performance through proactive optimization.
  • Lead architectural decisions, define technical roadmaps, and drive innovation aligned with long-term platform goals.
  • Mentor engineers and promote engineering excellence while engaging stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field together with 8 to 14 years of professional experience. 
  • Advanced technical skills in Linux operating systems and cloud platforms which include AWS and networking and security systems and CI/CD pipeline development.
  • Knowledge about Docker and Kubernetes and Terraform and Infrastructure as Code and automation tools.
  • Observability tools which include Prometheus and Grafana and ELK and CloudWatch and OpenTelemetry.
  • Demonstrates programming skills in Python and Go and related programming languages while possessing comprehensive knowledge of system-level operations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with both expansive cloud data platforms and distributed systems that maintain constant operational availability. 
  • Multiple certifications including CKA, CKAD, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer and cloud-related credentials. 
  • Extensive experience in architectural and infrastructure design work which he treats as his personal responsibility. 
  • Demonstrates excellent communication abilities which enable him to work effectively with both technical and non-technical team members. 
  • Applicant demonstrates a strong desire to learn new technologies while developing solutions that provide significant value to customers.
