Salesforce is hiring a Senior Product Manager, Schema & Metadata Platform to lead the evolution of Schema AI and Schema Framework engineering teams. Based in Bangalore, this role owns the product vision, roadmap, and execution for metadata frameworks that power Salesforce’s core platforms, Generative AI experiences, and builder ecosystems across Agentforce, Data Cloud, and Marketing Cloud.

Main Responsibilities

  • Develop and own a 1–2 year strategic roadmap for next-generation schema and metadata frameworks.
  • Lead AI-driven innovations enabling metadata configuration through natural language using Agentforce.
  • Act as the primary product owner bridging deep infrastructure with user-facing builder experiences.
  • Collaborate cross-cloud with Data Cloud and Marketing Cloud to prioritize extensibility and schema evolution.
  • Manage the full schema lifecycle, ensuring backward compatibility within a multi-tenant SaaS platform.
  • Partner closely with engineering teams to translate strategy into scalable, reliable execution.
  • Engage directly with customers, ISVs, and partners to incorporate real-world feedback into product decisions.
  • Serve as the effective site lead for India-based engineering teams, aligning global strategy with local execution.
  • Balance customer experience, technical constraints, and business outcomes in complex decision-making.

Essential Qualifications 

  • More than 10 years of product management experience which needs to include work with platform and middleware and data infrastructure fields. 
  • Possesses advanced knowledge about metadata-driven architectural systems and relational database design and data modeling techniques. 
  • Practical knowledge about Generative AI and LLMs and prompt engineering methods. 
  • Develop metadata grounding methods which enable AI agents and intelligent systems to operate effectively. 
  • Outstanding communication abilities which enable him to interact with technical staff and business personnel and executive members. 
  • Strong product assessment abilities which allow him to deal with situations that involve uncertain conditions and critical decision-making situations. 
  • Complete understanding of the needs which builders and users and architects have when they work with low-code and no-code platforms. 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Work experience with major PaaS providers which include AWS and Azure and Google Cloud and Salesforce competitors. 
  • Obtained knowledge about graph databases and semantic layers which help AI systems to perform reasoning tasks. 
  • Working on InnerSource models which multiple teams use to develop shared frameworks. 
  • Experience with the development of large-scale AI-enabled platforms and enterprise SaaS systems.
