Job Description

LogicMonitor is recruiting a Sr. Prompt Engineer who will be responsible for developing reliable enterprise-level AI products in Pune or Bangalore for business and go-to-market use cases. This position demands at least 4 years of relevant experience in prompt engineering, software engineering, AI/ML engineering, automation engineering, or any similar domain. The job includes developing production-ready LLM applications, AI agents, retrieval-augmented generation models, and automation workflows by leveraging existing patterns within the platform.

Responsibilities

  • Work with the business partners in creating use cases and enterprise AI solutions through the common AI Fabric and approved technical patterns.
  • Work on designing, testing, and improving the prompts, system instructions, structured outputs, model routing, and context management for reliable outcomes.
  • Build and support workflow automation solutions using n8n and other similar tools, APIs, webhooks, Python scripts, and custom code where required.
  • Ensure that the AI solutions work with the existing enterprise systems and managed data sources such as Slack, Salesforce, Jira, Confluence, Google Workspace, Snowflake, AWS products, and internal APIs.
  • Use evaluation, monitoring, privacy, security, and operations controls while contributing reusable technical components, templates, and documentation.

Qualifications

  • More than 4 years of experience as a prompt engineer, software engineer, data or automation engineer, AI/ML engineer, solutions engineer, or a similar hands-on technical position.
  • Experience in building production-quality software applications through the use of LLMs, AI agents, RAG, semantic search, structured-output pipelines, and AI workflow automation.
  • Understanding of prompts, output contracts, control testing, failure analysis, and approaches for analyzing the output of AI systems.
  • Experience in SQL and Python, JavaScript, or TypeScript, and experience in querying, transforming, and integrating APIs.
  • Experience with API, SaaS, webhooks, cloud services, and enterprise data integration with proper authentication and error handling.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with automated workflow systems that involve triggers, retries, webhooks, scheduled processes, and error handling.
  • Knowledge of context engineering, embeddings, chunking, metadata, permission-aware access, provenance, and grounding techniques.
  • Experience with test processes that involve test data, regression testing, output testing, deterministic scoring, and quality measures.
  • Experience with cloud computing, enterprise data platforms, relational databases, and controlled access to data.
  • Ability to interact with executives and technical people concerning the system architecture, risks, compromises, implementation, and optimization.
