Job Description
Capco is recruiting an MREL business analyst position in India who will be responsible for regulatory change projects as well as the improvement of regulatory reporting processes within the financial services industry. The job is centered on regulatory reporting, MREL, and the creation of risk and control within finance functions. The candidate will have to document the processes and manage the data, as well as collect regulations and their business interpretations. Other key tasks include data lineage, data quality control, change management, and stakeholder engagement.
Experience: Relevant experience in finance, regulatory reporting, controls, or transformation programs
Qualification: Chartered accountant with an audit background preferred

Responsibilities
- Prepare and manage comprehensive process documentation to enable compliance with reporting needs and control improvement efforts.
- Prepare, implement, and document risk and controls in relevant governance structures to improve finance and reporting processes.
- Provide support for the creation and management of data dictionaries, data lineage, and data quality controls for regulatory returns.
- Document the regulatory rules and their interpretation by business teams in connection with MREL reporting and disclosure processes.
- Support the work of the finance teams in implementing control improvements and integrating the regulatory change processes into BAU.
Qualifications
- Previous work experience related to finance operations, regulatory reporting, auditing, operational risks, or control management will be an asset for this position.
- Knowledge of risk & control design, implementation, and monitoring of financial process flows is necessary.
- Analytical skills, as well as experience in data and process flow analysis, are a must.
- Experience in managing relationships and good communication skills are necessary for collaboration.
- Change management and problem-solving experience are extremely valuable.
Preferred Qualifications
- Chartered accountant qualifications with an audit background can help form a solid basis for the requirements of the role.
- Knowledge of MREL regulation reporting will help with the implementation of requirements around regulatory change and the reporting associated with it.
- Experience in SOX, operational risk management, and finance controls is seen as an advantage.
- Previous experience with creating and implementing processes and controls will be helpful for the successful execution of transformation projects.
- Experience with banking systems, finance processes, and the regulatory environment will be helpful for finance-wide cooperation.
