Security Customer Engineer is an engineering position currently open for hiring at Google Cloud that concentrates on enhancing cybersecurity solutions and serving enterprise customers with cloud services. The security customer engineer uses skills and knowledge about cloud security, application security, and vulnerability management for solving complicated technical needs, enhancing security architecture, and cloud adoption. In addition, the Security Customer Engineer engages with security professionals, cloud architects, and technical professionals to find business possibilities, solve technical problems, and prove Google Cloud solutions.

Responsibilities
- Discover and qualify customer opportunities through an understanding of technical requirements, security needs, and possible solutions within cloud environments.
- Prototype and showcase Google Cloud integration within customer/partner environments to meet certain security and business needs.
- Suggest enterprise architectures, application infrastructure, and integration solutions that can make cloud deployments secure and scalable.
- Offer technical security expertise through customer briefings, workshops, proof of concept, and cooperation with product and engineering teams.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on cybersecurity in customer presentations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience; 10+ years of experience in cybersecurity.
- Excellent experience in application security, security-focused software development lifecycle practices, and vulnerability management in a cloud-native or hybrid environment.
- Professional expertise in cloud technologies and software development, with an ability to translate security requirements into technical solutions.
- Experience with AI-based tools for detecting vulnerabilities, exploits, code analysis, and automated remediations will be a plus.
- Great communication skills with the ability to communicate security solutions to customers and interact with security professionals.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or any other related technical field.
- Professional experience in conducting technical briefings, workshops, PoCs, and solutions demonstrations for corporate clients.
- Awareness of the potential impact of artificial intelligence on both offensive and defensive cybersecurity tactics.
- Knowledge of platforms for deploying/managing security agents or AI algorithms for analyzing code, detecting vulnerabilities, and executing remediation.
- Able to provide actionable cybersecurity advice based on customer needs and production results.
