Job Description

Microsoft is hiring a senior cloud network engineer to design and manage secure, scalable cloud networking solutions. The role includes Azure Networking, Secure Edge architecture, Zero Trust security, network automation, incident management, and hybrid cloud connectivity. The role of modernisation of enterprise infrastructure, enhancing the reliability of the network, and cross-collaboration between the security team, engineering team, infrastructure team, and product team.

Responsibilities

  • Guide the Secure Edge architecture and cloud networking solutions that adhere to Zero Trust concepts.
  • Develop a security design using Azure Networking, Azure Firewall, Virtual Private Network, Virtual WAN, DNS, and SSE.
  • Drive modernization from traditional network and security appliances to cloud-native, software-defined platforms.
  • Automate using artificial intelligence for network provisioning, monitoring, troubleshooting, compliance, and optimization.
  • Incident resolution and root cause analysis need to be done to ensure network reliability.

Requirements

  • More than 7+ years of experience in the design, engineering, securing, automation and management of networks.
  • Hands-on experience with Azure Network, Cloud Network, Firewalls, VPN, DNS & Secure Service Edge.
  • Hands-on experience with technologies such as BGP, MPLS, IPv4, IPv6, routing, switching, VXLAN, and SD-WAN.
  • Troubleshooting of enterprise-level networks using technologies such as Cisco, Palo Alto, Arista & Azure.
  • Automation & scripting using technologies such as Python, PowerShell, Terraform, Bicep, Ansible, or any other stack.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Global Secure Access, Secure Service Edge, or Zero Trust access solutions.
  • Experience in designing and managing enterprise cloud network infrastructure.
  • Experience in Microsoft Digital Infrastructure and enterprise security ecosystems.
  • Experience in network modernisation and cloud transformation projects.
  • Azure Networking or Security certifications with cross-functional management experience.
