Job Description

Apple needs an experienced AI Big Data Engineer to create and improve scalable data platforms which support Wallet and Apple Pay operations. Building strong data systems which support machine learning processes and development of generative artificial intelligence technologies for data-driven research. Together with international teams to create advanced analytical systems and smart data solutions. 

Qualification: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field

Primary Responsibilities

  • Build scalable data architectures supporting Wallet, Payments, and Commerce applications.
  • Design and optimize ETL workflows to improve data processing efficiency and reliability
  • Develop data pipelines for ML and GenAI solutions including RAG-based systems.
  • Ensure high data quality, integrity, and consistency across platforms and systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and impactful data solutions.

Technical & Support Responsibilities

  • Apache Spark, Kafka and Airflow to handle big data processing tasks.    
  • Develop pipelines using SQL, Python, Scala and Java to process large-scale data.    
  • Integrated into MLOps workflows which include model retraining and monitoring.    
  • AWS, Azure and GCP to create scalable data infrastructure through their cloud platforms.    
  • Snowflake and Tableau serve as analytics tools which organizations apply to create data warehousing and modeling techniques. 

Qualifications Required

  • Possesses extensive expertise in data engineering and analytics and machine learning pipeline development. 
  • Programming skills in Python, SQL, Scala and Java. 
  • Demonstrates understanding of cloud platforms together with contemporary data processing systems. 
  • Understanding of data modeling together with warehousing and large-scale distributed systems. 
  • Operate in agile settings while solving problems effectively.
