Job Description

SAP is hiring for a Cloud Performance and Scalability Engineer who will test SAP Business Technology Platform, BTP applications and services to confirm their ability to scale and maintain performance. The role requires performance testing design and execution to find system bottlenecks while developing tools through Python and Golang programming languages. The engineer will work with multiple teams to improve system performance and create automated processes that enable cloud solutions to operate effectively for international clients. 

Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Equivalent

Main Duties

  • Design and execute performance and scalability testing for cloud-based applications and runtimes.
  • Develop custom scripts and tools using Python or Golang for performance engineering workflows.
  • Perform root cause analysis to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks at code level.
  • Automate performance testing processes to improve efficiency and scalability of systems.
  • Collaborate with product teams and stakeholders to ensure successful product performance.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Programming skills in Python or Golang or other scripting languages. 
  • Demonstrate their ability to conduct performance testing and scalability testing through load testing tools. 
  • Needs to demonstrate their ability to work with cloud-based applications and distributed systems architecture. 
  • Experience with Docker containerization tools and Kubernetes orchestration tools. 
  • Possesses complete knowledge of DevOps practices which include CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and GitHub Actions. 

Preferred Skills

  • Experience working with SAP Business Technology Platform and comparable cloud platforms. 
  • Requirement demands the candidate to possess knowledge about performance monitoring and observability tools which specifically operate in cloud environments. 
  • Demonstrate knowledge about automation frameworks together with testing methods which can be used in large-scale test environments. 
  • Possesses exceptional skills in analytical work and problem-solving which enable him to conduct thorough investigations of root causes. 
  • Shows a strong interest toward open-source software and cloud-native development techniques.
