Job Description

IBM is searching for a Senior Cloud Platform Architect who will oversee VPC platform design work and hybrid cloud solution development. The position demands an expert who will create infrastructure designs which provide both security and operational control during DevOps activities and essential business function upgrades. The candidates will lead cross-departmental teams to develop dependable enterprise cloud systems which will support customers worldwide.

Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree (Master’s preferred)

Main Duties:

  • Define and drive architecture for VPC platform capabilities and core cloud services.
  • Lead modernization and migration of services including Vault, tenancy isolation, and virtual environments.
  • Design and implement secure CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation frameworks.
  • Ensure API consistency, scalability, reliability, and security across cloud platforms.
  • Align cross-functional teams across compute, network, storage, and control planes.
  • Establish engineering standards, improve resiliency, and mitigate architectural risks.
  • Act as technical leader guiding large-scale infrastructure and cloud initiatives.

Essential Qualifications:

  • A person should hold a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related field. 
  • Demonstrates advanced software development skills together with expertise in microservices and enterprise architecture design frameworks. 
  • Expertise in building cloud platforms and deploying cloud-native solutions through their work in advanced technology fields. 
  • Capability to lead DevOps teams during the process of building automation systems and creating AI-powered solutions. 
  • Knowledge of Agile methods and how to use them for stakeholder engagement. 
  • Control over major programs that require multiple organizations to work together across various business units. 
  • Demonstrates exceptional abilities for solving problems while maintaining successful connections with stakeholders.

Preferred Skills:

  • Expertise by working with IBM Cloud and VPC platform through their practical work experience. 
  • Created their software application through the use of both Python and Go programming languages. 
  • HashiCorp tools because they had experience working with both Terraform and Vault. 
  • Possesses special skills for managing CI/CD pipelines together with their abilities in infrastructure automation. 
  • Strong leadership qualities that enable him to create hybrid cloud solutions and enterprise-level architectural designs.
