Job Description

SAP is searching for a Machine Learning Engineer Expert who will join its Applications AI team to develop advanced artificial intelligence solutions for actual business challenges. The job requires the development of machine learning models and AI prototype creation and the partnership with clients and internal teams who will develop AI solutions for complex business challenges that produce tangible benefits.

Qualification: Master’s Degree or PhD in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or related field

Experience: 10+ years in machine learning, data science, or AI research

Main Duties:

  • Develop machine learning algorithms and mathematical models that transform complex business problems into scalable AI solutions for enterprise applications.
  • Collaborate with product leaders, engineers, executives, and customers to design and deploy AI prototypes and production-grade machine learning systems.
  • Create rapid proof-of-concept AI solutions that address customer requirements and demonstrate the value of artificial intelligence technologies.
  • Apply advanced research techniques and modern machine learning frameworks to improve system scalability, performance, and explainability.
  • Communicate technical insights and analytical findings clearly to both technical teams and business stakeholders.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Advanced expertise in machine learning, deep learning, data mining.
  • Demonstrates proficiency in Python programming together with machine learning libraries which include PyTorch and TensorFlow and scikit-learn.
  • Extensive experience working with actual datasets which includes data preprocessing and feature engineering and model deployment.
  • Possesses hands-on experience with AWS and Azure and Google Cloud Platform as cloud platforms for artificial intelligence development.
  • Experience using big data tools together with data processing environments which include Databricks.
  • Demonstrates strong abilities in analytical work and mathematical modeling and solving problems.
  • Possesses excellent communication skills which enable successful collaboration with various teams and interaction with customers.

  • AI solutions which solve intricate business problems that enterprise customers face. 
  • Built AI systems which can grow to support enterprise software platforms and applications. 
  • Explainable AI principles together with the practices of developing ethical AI systems. 
  • Participated in work which required collaboration with teams located in multiple countries while serving customers from various business sectors. 
  • Demonstrates a strong desire to investigate new AI technologies which they will use to solve actual world challenges.
