Job Description

Google is hiring a data engineer in Hyderabad and Gurugram to develop scalable data pipelines, manage centralized data warehouses, and optimize data processing systems. The role involves using Python and SQL, building AI/ML data platform and enhancing data quality. The engineer will work closely with business people, data scientists, and technologists to provide dependable data solutions.

Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities

  • Design and development of data pipelines for transferring data from source systems to a centralized data warehouse.
  • Design and optimization of SQL query to transform, analyze and report data.
  • Designing of data foundation and models required for implementing AI/ML.
  • Work with executives and other stakeholders along with data scientists and AI teams in understanding the requirements and designing data solutions.
  • Work with other data engineers to deliver the solution and grow technologically in the team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, a related quantitative field or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3 years’ experience in a data engineering, data infrastructure, or data analytics position.
  • Experience in data engineering and coding in Python or SQL.
  • Experience in overseeing and sustaining data projects through their whole lifecycle.
  • Experience in designing and sustaining data pipelines optimized for machine learning or AI workloads.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience in working on AI/ML projects, generative AI, integration of LLMs, RAG, and fine-tuning of models and vector databases.
  • Hands-on experience in creating production-level end-to-end data pipelines using ETL platforms.
  • Hands-on experience in advanced data modeling and schema creation for analytics.
  • Proficiency in Google Cloud Platform data services and AI infrastructure.
  • Knowledge about consumer electronics or supply chain data.
