Job Description

IBM is hiring an Application Developer who specializes in Red Hat Cloud FullStack development to work at its IBM Consulting Client Innovation Center. The position requires engineers to create and implement enterprise solutions which operate in cloud environments and maintain high scalability and reliability through Red Hat OpenShift and contemporary microservices design.

Main Duties

  • Design and implement cloud-native applications using Red Hat OpenShift platform services efficiently.
  • Develop omnichannel systems for seamless user engagement and integration across enterprise platforms.
  • Map legacy components to OpenShift-based microservices architecture ensuring scalable modular system design.
  • Collaborate on API development using Node.js, Spring Boot, or .NET frameworks effectively.
  • Build scalable, secure, and high-performance cloud-based solutions for enterprise level business applications.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science Engineering or related field required qualification mandatory.
  • Possesses a comprehensive understanding of software architecture and microservices design principles together with their associated design patterns.
  • Acquired practical skills through work experience which covers all aspects of cloud-native development including the implementation of scalable distributed systems.
  • Demonstrates expertise in developing application programming interfaces which enable integration of distributed systems across various enterprise cloud platforms.
  • Possesses knowledge about modern cloud platforms which includes understanding containerization and serverless computing and service mesh technologies. 

Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge of Red Hat OpenShift and Kubernetes ecosystems for enterprise production environments. 
  • Experience with Frontend development including Angular, JavaScript and CSS
  • Use Spring Boot, Quarkus and Node.js frameworks to create backend microservices systems.
  • Experience CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tools which they use to create automatic cloud deployment processes.
  • Able to deliver enterprise cloud solutions with multiple global distributed systems across large organizations.
