Job Description

Adobe needs a Senior Machine Learning Engineer 5 to create and implement GenAI backend services which support their video projects. The position requires researchers to convert their experimental models into production-ready machine learning systems while they boost model efficiency for GPU systems and improve MLOps processes and work with product development and research and infrastructure teams to create impactful AI solutions.

Main Duties

  • Work on developing GPU-optimized video model pipelines for GenAI through their design and development and deployment processes. 
  • Provide research innovations and prototypes to be converted into ML systems which can operate effectively across all of its cloud platforms. 
  • Improve model performance and service efficiency while maintaining system capacity and operational dependability and system strength. 
  • Work to improve MLOps workflows through their development of CI/CD systems and model versioning tools and evaluation pipelines and automated retraining processes. 
  • Work with product research and infrastructure groups to create requirements specifications which they use to develop solutions. 
  • Introduce the latest machine learning developments into Adobe products which include both cloud solutions and on-device performance enhancements. 
  • Provide technical guidance to engineering teams while they develop their skills through mentorship.

Essential Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in AI/ML engineering, model development, or large-scale distributed systems.
  • Strong programming skills in Python and experience with ML frameworks like PyTorch and TensorFlow.
  • Expertise in Generative Video AI, including diffusion, GAN, and transformer-based models.
  • Solid understanding of model optimization, inference efficiency, GPU acceleration, and production ML integration.
  • Experience delivering cloud-scale, data-driven products with broad customer adoption.
  • Strong AI/ML fundamentals, frameworks, and toolchain knowledge.
  • Excellent communication, technical leadership, and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ph.D. in Computer Science, AI/ML, or related field.
  • Experience in temporal consistency and multimodal generation for video AI.
  • Proven success in matrixed organizations driving alignment and delivering results.
