Job Description

Cloud Security – Senior Consultant is a job position in Deloitte’s Cyber Operate group, which aims to help clients improve their security capabilities and operate their security capabilities in a hybrid-cloud environment. It includes designing and delivering cloud security solutions that comply with the needs of the client and relevant industry standards by transforming security requirements into technical solutions and processes. Some other duties of the job position involve managing cloud security operations, monitoring of incident queues, ticket management, escalations, and SLA commitments. 

Experience: 5–10 years of experience in information technology, information security, or related fields.

Responsibilities

• Support cloud security solutions across hybrid cloud environments in line with client requirements and industry practices.
• Collaborate with clients and cross-functional teams in order to implement technical and operational solutions for security requirements.
• Ensure security operations by taking care of incident queues, ticket management, escalations, and SLA compliance.
• Support deployment and configuration of security controls in public and private cloud infrastructure.
• Support cyber operability activities such as compliance, governance, automation, and continuous improvements.

 Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, cybersecurity, information security, engineering, or a related field.
• 5–10 years of experience in information technology, information security, or related areas.
• Experience working on one or more public clouds like AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Experience with firewalls, virtual private cloud, security groups, key management, and SDLC pipelines.
• Experience in identifying security weaknesses and applying security controls in cloud environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, AWS Certified Security – Specialty, Azure Security Engineer Associate, or Google Cloud Professional Cloud Security Engineer.
• Prior experience as a consultant, including experience with one of the Big 4 firms.
• Experience working with scripts, tools, and/or automation to make repeated tasks easier.
• Experience in cloud security monitoring and compliance activities.
• Ability to support automation and process improvement of the Cyber Operate team.
