Job Description

Amazon Web Services is hiring a delivery consultant to design, implement, and manage secure AWS solutions for customers. The role focuses on database migration, cloud adoption, advanced SQL, Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and AWS technologies. Candidates will collaborate with stakeholders, provide technical guidance, optimise infrastructure, support complex data environments, and develop scalable solutions throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • Create and execute scalable and secure AWS implementations based on the customer’s technical needs.
  • Identify the needs of the stakeholders and develop suitable strategies for implementing database migrations.
  • Perform application migration from Oracle, SQL Server, and others to PostgreSQL, MySQL, and other databases.
  • Support customers with best practices and technical assistance through the project execution phases.
  • Create proof-of-concept projects, technical sessions, reusable assets and more for customers.

Requirements

  • AWS services experience like EC2, ELB, RDS, Route 53, and S3 infrastructures.
  • Practical experience implementing AWS services for distributed computing systems and enterprises.
  • Advanced SQL abilities with complicated queries involving numerous database tables.
  • PostgreSQL, SQL Server, MySQL, and software development environments knowledge.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, data science, business, or related disciplines.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum of four years of hands-on experience with database administration or equivalent technical training.
  • Experience in AWS, web services, software development, or similar.
  • AWS Professional-level certification to showcase cloud computing experience and expertise.
  • Scripting automation solution experience in Python, Perl, or Ruby programming.
  • Strong experience designing scalable and secure cloud solutions based on customer business and technical requirements.
