Primary Responsibilities

  • Lead the migration process of on-premises databases to Oracle Cloud and Autonomous Database.
  • Perform partitioning, compression, and more to get the most out of Oracle Databases performance.
  • Keep an eye on the databases, solve problems, and ensure they are reliable, scalable, and secure.
  • Establish and create the monitoring infrastructure (SLIs, SLOs) and automate the process of resolving issues that will not come back.
  • Work with different departments to help with the plan for the strategic road-map projects.
  • Be the technical consultant for the problems regarding infrastructure, DevOps, and databases.
  • Be active in incident management, system tuning, and performance investigation.
  • Train the newcomers and conduct the transfer of knowledge within the team.
  • Make Oracle products and services more available, efficient, and secure through your improvements.

Essential Qualifications:

  • 6 – 10+ years working with Oracle Database, Oracle Cloud and DevOps. 
  • More than 2 years of experience in coding with Python, PL/SQL, Perl or Shell. 
  • Knowledge of GoldenGate replication, Exadata, ASM, RAC and Grid Infrastructure. 
  • Very good familiarity coupled with practical skills in CI/CD tools (Jenkins), orchestration (Ansible, Chef), version control (Git), and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Shepherd). 
  • Skilled in Linux OS, REST Architecture and JSON. 
  • Top-notch problem-solving, communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Practical experience in solving problems and optimizing performance of big databases.
  • Awareness of production processes and integrating first-rate code.
  • Working experience in healthcare IT or highly important applications.
