This opening is for an Oracle DBA with Azure Cloud Senior SME. The key accountabilities are advanced tuning of performance, automation, and the architecture of the data center with a high level of availability. Primary Responsibilities

  • Lead advanced Oracle database performance tuning and troubleshooting.
  • Design and implement HA/DR, backup, recovery, and cost optimization strategies.
  • Install, configure, upgrade, migrate, and patch Oracle Database 12c/19c environments.
  • Manage Oracle RAC architectures, ASM, and disk management across Unix platforms.
  • Deploy and manage Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and troubleshoot deployments.
  • Drive automation using Ansible, Terraform, PowerShell, and shell scripting.
  • Monitor and analyze AWR, ADDM reports, execution plans, and SQL performance.
  • Handle high-priority incidents (P1/P2), changes, and vendor problem tickets.
  • Provide RCA for critical database incidents and participate in severity calls.
  • Support Azure Cloud operations including portal navigation, monitoring, and security basics.
  • Collaborate across infrastructure layers to diagnose and resolve complex issues.

Essential Qualifications

  • Minimum Qualifications: 8 to 10-plus years of experience as a DBA for Oracle, along with strong Infrastructure experience and PaaS experience
  • experienced hands-on with Deploying and Operating Databases in Microsoft Azure Cloud.
  • Worked in a database environment with Oracle RAC, ASM, RMAN, Performance Tuning and SQL optimization.
  • Experienced with Automating and Orchestrating Database Environments through the use of Terraform and Ansible.
  • Solid understanding of Hardening and Compliance best practices
  • Scripting experience using Shell, SQL and PL/SQL
  • Excellent Problem Solving and Analytical skills
  • Strong Verbal and Written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Oracle, Azure, Terraform Certification
  • Working experience with Devops Practices and Integration between Terraform and Ansible
  • Working experience with PaaS Database Services and Technologies, such as Redis
  • Understanding of Other RDBMS or NoSQL (SQL Server, PostgreSQL)
  • Understanding of Processes and Framework for Problem Management.
