Main Duties

  • Creating ETL pipelines and distributed data systems which can be expanded to handle increased data volume. 
  • Technical deliverables which will meet the business and functional needs of the project. 
  • Develop working models and validation tests through their partnership with different functional departments. 
  • Improve data solutions by reducing latency and increasing scalability and maintaining system precision. 
  • The engineer provides guidance to junior staff members while participating in discussions about system design. 
  • Collaborate with other departments to handle uncertain situations while they work on intricate technical problems.

Basic Qualifications

  • Three years of experience working in data engineering and related fields. 
  • Possesses extensive expertise in data modeling and data warehousing concepts. 
  • Practical experience in developing and operating ETL pipelines. 
  • Demonstrates advanced skills in SQL while handling extensive datasets. 
  • Applicant has practical experience in creating and maintaining systems for distributed data processing.

Preferred Qualifications

  • AWS services which include Redshift, S3, AWS Glue, EMR, Kinesis, Firehose, Lambda and IAM. 
  • Experience working with non-relational databases which include NoSQL document stores and key-value stores and graph databases. 
  • Knowledge about systems that process data in real time through their streaming capabilities. 
  • Data pipelines to operate with reduced latency while providing system scalability and dependable performance. 
  • Demonstrates skills to work with different teams while providing guidance to less experienced engineers.
