Job Description

The Cloud Backend Developer position at Wipro primarily focuses on validating, maintaining and improving the current Automations (Automation Solutions) used within Cloud Infrastructures (CI) hosted on Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) servers.

Additionally, this role belongs to a cross functional team responsible for developing a set of scalable Backend Solutions to automate the Installation of Cloud Platforms (Solutions), manage multiple environments using Containers, and support the digital transformation of Enterprises (Business).

Primary Responsibilities

  • Designing and developing backend and cloud automation solutions based on client specifications and project requirements.
  • Maintaining and verifying CIM applications to automate the installation of the cloud platform on COTS servers.
  • Ensuring that cross-functional engineering and integration teams work together to produce high-quality software solutions.
  • Writing, testing, and maintaining automation scripts using Ansible, Robot Framework, and shell scripting.
  • Perform automated functions for Bare Metal Controller (BMC), including firmware upgrades, system configuration, and troubleshooting.
  • Ensuring compliance with industry standards, project documentation and detailed knowledge transfer.

Basic Qualifications

  • Development and maintenance of cloud-backend automation systems and solutions.
  • Implementation and management of container-based environments with Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Writing and maintaining automation scripts and testing tools using Ansible and Robot Framework.
  • Configuration and optimization of cloud-based platforms, for example Red Hat OpenShift and Wind River Cloud.
  • Management of server hardware, OS, BIOS, and BMC provisioning and lifecycle.
  • Troubleshooting and debugging of systems and documenting and complying with SLAs in enterprise production environments.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in enterprise cloud infrastructure at a large scale.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and cloud orchestration frameworks.
  • Understanding of compliance, governance, and operational reporting.
  • Experience of supporting customers in escalated issues and working with multiple teams.
  • Knowledge of digital transformation initiatives within IT services organizations.
