Job Description

SAP is hiring a Java Developer, Cloud to join its Procurement Engineering team. The employee must design microservices and develop AI-assisted features and create scalable enterprise procurement solutions through cloud-native technologies and SAP Business Technology Platform. The employee must create enterprise procurement solutions which can handle billions in global procurement activities through their work on procurement systems.

Main Duties

  • Create enterprise procurement solutions through the use of Java Spring Boot and current cloud computing technologies. 
  • The developer needs to create scalable applications which utilize SAP Business Technology Platform together with its AI and analytics capabilities. 
  • Containerization and event-driven architectures for their microservices design and implementation work. 
  • Trunk-based development together with feature flags to achieve continuous delivery in their software development work.
  • Automated testing frameworks which use intelligent quality checks for their software development testing process.
  • Uses REST APIs and SAP Integration Suite to connect systems which handle procurement processes. 
  • The development teams work together to create better developer experience and deployment pipelines. 
  • Shares current software development methods and AI-driven code development methods with team members.

Essential Qualifications

  • Expertise in Java version 11 and higher combined with Spring Boot and the entire Spring Framework ecosystem.
  • Practical skills in using relational databases which include PostgreSQL and MySQL and Oracle.
  • Understanding of REST API design together with its implementation techniques and integration methods.
  • knowledge about microservices architecture and Docker and Kubernetes containerization technology.
  • Cloud platforms which include AWS and Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud.
  • CI/CD pipelines and automated testing and I have experience with agile development practices.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with SAP Business Technology Platform and enterprise integration tools.
  • Knowledge of API standards such as OData or GraphQL.
  • Understanding of messaging systems and event-driven architectures.
  • Ability to work with modern developer tools and AI-assisted coding environments.
  • Strong collaboration and problem-solving skills in enterprise development projects.
