SAP requires a Senior AI Data Scientist who will transform its Marketing Technology Stack while developing advanced AI and machine learning solutions for internal business teams. The job requires the creation of operational data systems which includes the construction of machine learning models and the implementation of scalable data processing systems and the collaboration with various teams to provide intelligent business insights.

Main Duties

  • Collect, clean, integrate, and preprocess large multi-source datasets ensuring quality and reproducibility.
  • Translate business challenges into machine learning and data science solutions.
  • Design and implement feature engineering pipelines to improve model performance.
  • Develop and train machine learning, deep learning, and NLP models.
  • Evaluate models using metrics, error analysis, and optimization techniques.
  • Deploy production-ready AI models and maintain scalable inference pipelines.
  • Monitor model performance, drift, and data quality to ensure reliability and SLAs.
  • Collaborate with engineers, stakeholders, and data teams to operationalize AI solutions.
  • Research emerging AI technologies and implement innovative approaches.

Essential Qualifications

  • Twelve years of work experience in Data Science or related fields.
  • Master’s degree or a PhD degree in Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Computer Science, Statistics, or related fields.
  • Demonstrate advanced Python skills through their ability to use Pandas, NumPy, and Scikit-learn.
  • Comprehensive knowledge about statistical methods and probabilistic concepts and machine learning methodologies.
  • Obtained proficiency in SQL and methods for analyzing structured data.
  • Data visualization and the use of Jupyter and Databricks notebooks.
  • Experience using deep learning frameworks, which include TensorFlow and PyTorch.
  • Demonstrates strong abilities in analytical thinking and communication and teamwork.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Developing data systems which meet production requirements and provide dependable operation while maintaining budget constraints. 
  • Convert unclear business needs into workable technical solutions. 
  • Teaching others while helping engineering standards to improve through their mentoring efforts. 
  • Communicate with stakeholders who have both technical expertise and non-technical knowledge. 
  • Experience working with both enterprise organizations and marketing technology systems.
