Main Responsibilities

  • Translate business problems into applied AI and data science problems in collaboration with product leadership.
  • Research, prototype, and build AI demonstrations for rapid validation and iteration.
  • Design and develop machine learning and LLM-based systems to meet accuracy and performance targets.
  • Productize AI innovations by partnering closely with engineering teams.
  • Educate engineering and product stakeholders on applied AI concepts and best practices.
  • Collaborate with team members and provide technical guidance across projects.
  • Share technical innovations internally and contribute to industry knowledge through open-source or conferences.

Essential Qualifications

  • Requires two or more years of direct work experience with applied data science and machine learning and AI research.
  • Advanced knowledge of both traditional machine learning methods and deep learning techniques and Large Language Models.
  • Experience which includes developing AI prototypes and handling datasets that range from small to medium size.
  • Demonstrates expertise in Python programming together with scientific computing tools that include NumPy and Pandas and PyTorch and Jupyter.
  • Experience using Unix/Linux systems together with shell scripting capabilities and AWS cloud computing infrastructure.
  • Exceptional communication abilities which enable them to work effectively with science teams and engineering groups and product development teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Applicants must hold PhD degree together with one year of relevant work experience in their field.
  • Deep expertise in Reinforcement Learning and Causal Inference and Information Retrieval and Deep Learning.
  • Has experience developing machine learning models and creating agent systems which they successfully deployed in production settings.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of MLOps best practices which include model monitoring and serving and A/B testing.
  • Open-source contributions or published research papers at top-tier AI conferences which include NeurIPS and ICML and ICLR and CVPR and ACL and KDD.
