The Cloud DevOps position at Wipro is focused on establishing, managing, and growing secure, automated cloud infrastructure, which is the very heart of the digital transformation across the company. The individual in this position will be responsible for creating DevOps strategies, implementing CI/CD pipelines, using infrastructure-as-code, and leading cloud-native projects. 

Besides, continuous communication with the development teams, stakeholders, and customers will be needed to realize the company-wide goals with reliable, compliant, and high-performing cloud solutions.

Primary Responsibilities

Cloud Structure and DevOps Strategy

  • Supervise the setting up and controlling of cloud infrastructure that can be scaled, secured, and automated to any extent.
  • DevOps strategy should be defined and its consistency with enterprise architecture and compliance standards should be assured.
  • Consult with the varied interests to make sure that cloud and DevOps solutions are in concordance with business and technical objectives.

Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) and Cloud Automation

  • Design CI/CD pipelines for the enterprise level by making use of Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and GitLab.
  • Infrastructure-as-code creation and implementation will be done by Terraform.
  • In-charge of the process of making a choice of the containerization and orchestration tools (Kubernetes (EKS) and Docker).
  • Setting up monitoring, observability, and performance standards for all the cloud environments, to be specifically defined.
  • Cloud security, compliance, and governance controls should be established.

Leadership & Capability Development

  • Build people capability to ensure operational excellence and superior customer service levels.
  • Mentor and guide Production Specialists to improve technical knowledge and performance.
  • Identify skill gaps, design triage programs, and conduct targeted technical training.
  • Stay current with product features, updates, and industry best practices through continuous learning.

Operational Excellence

  • Identify common technical issues and recommend effective long-term resolutions.
  • Maintain documentation, architecture standards, and best practices.
  • Update job knowledge through self-learning initiatives and professional networking.

Essential Qualifications

  • 5–8 years of professional experience in Cloud DevOps, cloud architecture, or DevOps consulting is a must.
  • Expertise in Python, Bash, and Groovy scripting is a strong point.
  • Possession of Terraform, Kubernetes, Docker, and Jenkins is the primary hands-on experience.
  • Leadership, architecture documentation, and stakeholder management skills are the ones that are strong.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Cloud Solutions Architect, Professional or DevOps Engineer, Professional certification is sought after.
  • IaaS and PaaS cloud models experience is an asset.
  • Multi-account cloud architecture, governance, and cost optimization are proven areas of expertise.
  • Working across complex enterprise and multi-client environments is part of the experience gained.
