Job Description

Deloitte’s Threat & Vulnerability Management is a managerial role  responsible for leading cybersecurity efforts that help organizations discover, evaluate, and remediate security vulnerabilities. Responsibilities associated with this job include the conducting of vulnerability scans, security analysis of findings, determining priorities for remediation, and maintaining accurate information about the assets. The role also includes monitoring threats, providing security reports, and conducting research to better situational awareness and respond to threats. The candidate is expected to have good knowledge of networks, security, and cybersecurity.

Responsibilities

  • Effective analysis skills for identifying vulnerabilities, security weaknesses, and remediation needs.
  • The ability to cooperate with security specialists and remediation experts without compromising security procedures.
  • Communication skills for preparing reports, researching security issues, and reporting on security.
  • The ability to understand technical data received from asset inventory, threat feed, assessment, and security reports.
  • Knowledge of threat detection, threat intelligence, and security monitoring techniques.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in information security, information technology, computer science, mathematics, or any other technical subject.
  • Any relevant cybersecurity certification, such as CISSP, GIAC Certified Intrusion Analyst, GIAC Continuous Monitoring, CEH, or any similar certification.
  • Proficient knowledge of the process of vulnerability classification using techniques such as CVE and CVSS.
  • Ability to understand the way technical vulnerabilities are being exploited and the impact of malicious codes on enterprises.
  • Effective analytical and report writing skills for communication of security details to stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

  • At least 9 years of professional experience in vulnerability management, information security, incident handling, application security, penetration testing, or other relevant areas in cybersecurity.
  • Hands-on experience with vulnerability assessment, network scanning, security analysis or malicious code analysis.
  • Good understanding of networking and infrastructure tools along with their protocols, such as routers & switches, TCP/IP, DNS, and HTTP.
  • Previous experience with security assessment & vulnerability management toolsets such as Qualys and Tenable is an added advantage.
  • Knowledge of Threat Intelligence, Asset Lifecycle, Patch Management Toolsets, Operating Systems, Databases, and Security Operating systems and reports are an advantage.
