Job Description

SAP is hiring a Principal Technical Specialist who will develop and deploy sophisticated AI systems through enterprise environments. The position requires development of scalable Generative AI systems which need to integrate AI technology into SAP systems while providing automated solutions for finance procurement operations. The specialist will lead architectural design work while he drives artificial intelligence implementation and creates enterprise-level AI systems for international business operations.

Main Duties:

  • Design and deploy AI and Generative AI solutions using SAP BTP AI services, AI Core, and AI Launchpad.
  • Build end-to-end enterprise AI systems including data pipelines, model development, deployment, and monitoring.
  • Develop agentic AI workflows automating multi-step business processes with governance mechanisms.
  • Implement modern AI architectures like Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) and tool-enabled agents.
  • Integrate AI solutions with SAP systems using APIs, OData services, and event-driven architectures.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align AI solutions with procurement and finance processes.
  • Define best practices, reusable frameworks, and architectural standards for enterprise AI adoption.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Ten years of SAP technical and enterprise platform experience.  
  • Advanced practical skills in SAP BTP and SAP integration patterns through their work with APIs and OData and CDS.  
  • SAP AI Core and AI Launchpad and Joule and BTP AI services in their work.  
  • Demonstrates Python programming skills together with machine learning and AI framework knowledge.  
  • Successfully implemented Generative AI solutions which use LLM technology for enterprise applications.  
  • Possesses strong expertise in AWS Azure and GCP cloud platforms together with their knowledge of data architecture systems.

Preferred Skills:

  • AI solutions which can handle increased workloads for both financial and procurement systems.
  • Expertise in both Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) technology and agent-based artificial intelligence systems.
  • Demonstrates complete understanding of enterprise data governance practices and compliance standards and security requirements.
  • Possesses the capacity to convert business needs into technical designs for artificial intelligence systems.
  • Demonstrates exceptional abilities for leading people and managing stakeholders and working with different departments.
